BACKGROUND

About Us

'Rumah Aman' means 'House of Peace' in the Malay language. Located in Shah Alam, Malaysia, it provides a caring environment for the care and upbringing of boys who are orphans and/or from needy families.

Rumah Aman (Shah Alam) is a foundation which is a non-profit and a non-political charity organisation set up to provide assistance and support to orphans and children from the poor and destitute families and, on a case to case basis, for those in need and helpless.

Presently it manages the Rumah Aman Orphanage and Welfare Home which is a registered body with the Welfare Department of Malaysia since March 2006. It operates the orphanage through donations, zakat and sadaqa lillah entrusted by public.

The amount of financial contributions and donations can be applicable for tax exemption by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia.

The foundation is also affiliated with Our Home : Rumah Aman, a charity organisation registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales in the year 2004. The charity number is 1102689.

Rumah Aman is currently have to branches in Shah Alam. One is located at Seksyen 2, Shah Alam and the second branch is located at Saujana Utama, Sungai Buloh. The total orphans at Ruman Aman Seksyen 2 is about 20 childrens (18 girls and 2 boys). While Rumah Aman 2 Saujana Utama have 16 boys. Their average of age is around 5-17 years old.

Mr. Dakri was accompanied by Mr. Abdoll Lateef from Kuwait who brought dates from the Middle East for the children to enjoy.

Help Rumah Aman in achieving its dream of lifting up the deprived ones to an elevated level, where such children would not only achieve a respectable living for themselves but would also be a source of inspiration and support for their whole family.
